About Us

Based in the beautiful Peak District village of Eyam, The Felicity White School of Dance has been running for over 40 years, nurturing a love of dance across generations.

We offer a wide range of dance and acrobatics classes for all ages from tiny tots aged 18 months through to teens and adults, including our busy and much-loved adult tap and ballet classes.

We are passionate about making dance accessible to all, regardless of age, race or ability, and are committed to teaching in a supportive, inclusive, and effective way. Students have the opportunity to take part in RAD Ballet and ISTD Tap and Modern exams throughout the year and we take great pride in celebrating their achievements and excellent results.

We also offer a 3-week trial on all classes and host an annual show where every student has the chance to shine.

Miss Philippa

Principal

Philippa trained professionally for 3 years at SLP College and a further 2 years at Preston Dance College. Whilst training she gained her Advanced exams with the RAD and ISTD and performing experience at Leeds City Varieties, The Royal Armouries and Wakefield Theatre Royal. Philippa has always had a talent for teaching and was thrilled to take over the running of the school in September 2013. She is continually updating her teaching skills and professional development and remains a Registered and Fully Qualified teacher with the RAD, ISTD and Acrobatic Arts.

Miss Claire

Miss Claire began dancing at a young age and went on to train at Laine Theatre Arts on a full scholarship. She has performed around the world on cruise ships and trained as an aerialist, also appearing at events across Europe. Miss Claire is passionate about dance and fitness and loves inspiring students to grow in confidence and enjoy learning new skills.

Miss Rose

Miss Rose began dancing at the age of 7 and has trained in a variety of styles, including Ballet, Tap, Freestyle and Acro. She is passionate about sharing her experience with students and especially enjoys teaching Tap. Miss Rose loves helping young dancers build confidence while having fun.

Miss Kirst

Miss Kirst began dancing at a young age and has gained many qualifications in dance, teaching and fitness. Over the years, she has developed a wide range of skills and experience, including training students for many competitions. She teaches all ages and loves supporting her students as they grow, build confidence and work towards their goals.
